Michael Holmes

Owner/optometrist, Michael Holmes qualified in Britain in 1988 and emigrated to N.Z. in 1991, where he has practiced ever since. In 1998 Michael established his own business, which has developed over the years along with his growing loyal client base into two independent stores committed to providing the highest quality independent eyewear designs as well as offering comprehensive eye care.
With over 25 years of clinical experience, Michael has considerable expertise in finding creative solutions for complex visual requirements whether it be glasses, prescription sunglasses, contact lenses or effective and durable sports eyewear, that is needed. Michael is also therapeutically qualified to detect and treat a variety of eye conditions.
Eye examinations are recommended every two years and will take approximately 45 minutes.
Whatever your visual requirements, Michael will be keen to work with you and ensure the best possible outcome.

Grace Elliott

Optometrist, Grace Elliott has a special interest in ocular disease and children’s vision but is responsible for all aspects of eye care including assessment of clarity of vision, binocularity, fitting of spectacle and contact lenses and the monitoring and treatment of eye disease, for which she is qualified to prescribe ocular medication.
With a passion for design, patients always benefit from her keen eye, when it comes to selecting frames and lenses.
Like Michael Holmes, Grace takes an holistic approach to eye care, extending beyond the testing room and ensuring those needing prescription glasses always receive the best advice possible.
